How to Change Your Estonian Company Address: A Step-by-Step Guide

Estonian company address change guide with step-by-step instructions and legal compliance tips.

An Estonian company changes its legal address in the e-Business Register. The application takes a few minutes, and nobody has to be in Estonia for it. The steps below follow the English version of the portal.

Step 1. Log in

Go to ariregister.rik.ee and log in with an Estonian ID card, e-Residency card or Smart-ID. Under My Dashboard, choose the company and click Change the data.

Step 2. Open the main information

In the Main information section, click Change the data again.

Step 3. Go to Contacts

Select the Contacts tab in the menu on the left.

Step 4. Edit the contacts

When the company’s contact details appear, click Change.

Step 5. Enter the new address

Type the new legal address in the Address field. The system checks the address and fills in the postal code. If the company’s email address has changed, update it here as well, then click Save.

Step 6. Check and continue

Check that the new address shows correctly, then click Next through the remaining pages.

A move within the same local government area, for example from one Tallinn address to another, needs no attachments. A move to another one, for example from Tallinn to Tartu, also changes the seat in the articles of association. The application then needs a shareholders’ resolution and the amended articles.

Step 7. Sign and submit

On the Signing of the application page, click Sign, sign with the ID card or e-Residency card, and submit. The register sends an email once the change is entered, usually within a few business days.

Capture provides a legal address in Tallinn. The Basic plan, €120 a year, is the address alone, for an owner who files the change as shown above. The Standard plan, €320 a year, adds a licensed contact person. Without an Estonian ID card or e-Residency, the change goes through a notary under a power of attorney, and we arrange that for a fee quoted in advance. All plans are on the pricing page.

If you would rather have it done for you: while a Standard or Premium plan is active, we prepare the address change as part of the plan. Otherwise we prepare it as a company change for €120 plus the state fee.
