Estonian Business Address Only: When a Simple Tallinn Address Is All You Need

(For founders who manage everything themselves)

Estonian business address (meaning your Estonian company’s registered/legal address) must be listed in the Estonian Commercial Register. The address can be in Estonia or abroad. If it’s abroad, the company must appoint a licensed contact person in Estonia to receive official documents.

If you already handle filings, accounting, and registry updates yourself, you don’t need “full service” — you only need a legally valid Estonian address that the Business Register accepts.

That’s exactly what our Basic Plan (€120 / year) provides: a clean, compliant solution for independent founders. It gives you an Estonian business address in Tallinn, ready for use in the Business Register.

Estonian Business Address Basic Plan: What’s Included

The Basic Plan is our simplest and most affordable option for DIY-managed companies.

It includes:

  • Registered business address in central Tallinn (accepted by the Estonian Business Register)
  • Mail handling: up to 3 official letters per month
  • Scanning + forwarding by email (within 7 days)
  • Online onboarding: sign up, verify, and activate your address after approval
  • Accounting software suggestions to make setup easier

Everything is online — no calls, no meetings, no paperwork delays.

Who the Basic Plan Is For

The Basic Plan is ideal if you:

  • Already have e-Residency and manage your company yourself
  • Live in Estonia or run a locally managed setup
  • Only need a registered address, not formation help
  • Want full control over filings, accounting, and authority communication

In short: if you’re comfortable running your Estonian company independently, this plan gives you exactly what you need — and nothing you don’t.

Legal Note: When a Contact Person Is Required

A licensed contact person becomes mandatory only if your company’s legal address is outside Estonia — a rule clarified after the 2023 amendments that allowed companies to register foreign legal addresses.

If your company’s registered address is in Estonia (for example, at Capture’s Tallinn address), you do not need to appoint a contact person purely for compliance reasons.

(Reference: Commercial Register Act / Äriregistri seadus § 24 (2) — a contact person must be designated if the legal person’s address is abroad.)

Mini-FAQ — Common Questions

Do I need to be an e-Resident to use this plan?
This plan is mainly recommended for e-Residents, since they can update the company’s address themselves directly in the e-Business Register.

If you’re not an e-Resident, it’s still possible — we can handle the address change for you through a Power of Attorney (PoA) and notary for an additional fee.

Is this address accepted by the Business Register?
Yes — Capture’s address is registered and accepted in the Estonian Business Register.

How long does activation take?
Usually within one business day after payment and identity verification.

Can I receive packages?
This plan covers letters and official mail only. Parcels are not accepted.

Don’t choose Basic if…

  • you’re not comfortable updating registry data yourself
  • you expect questions, filings, or any ongoing support
  • you want a licensed contact person included
  • you want someone to help when the Business Register or banks ask for clarifications
